Jameson

Hahaha...I just thought about this blog today, and checked it.....and realized that I haven't posted anything for almost a year. That's too funny to me. Sad, but truly it was funny! I guess it goes to show that working full time, plus being a full time mom....there's just no time to blog!! I don't think I have any followers that are consistently checking my blog, and I if I did, I'm pretty sure they stopped checking several months ago!

Just to update. And this will probably be my fare-well post as well because my life will only get busier from her!

1. Matt and I are still married :)
2. Jameson (our son!) is 8 months old and the cutest little guy in the whole world!!
3. Cali lives with Megan and Lee now :( Matt developed horrible allergies to her where he couldn't even touch her without breaking out into hives. So we are now the "vacation home" when Meg and Lee go away instead of the permanent residence.
4. I taught 3rd grade for 4 years and I'm not switching to 5th YAY!

I think that's it! I don't think there's a whole lot else to share!

Back to School....Back to School

Pray to dad, that the baby comes on time lol. Ok so not really the same as the song from Billy Madison, but it fit my situation. I start school in about 2 weeks and I'm nervous as all get out. I'm always nervous by the first day of school (I swear sometimes more so than the students!!) but I'm more nervous about how I'm going to handle school and being pregnant. I'm used to being able to sit down when I need to. Don't get me wrong, I'm going going going all the time. In fact most of my friends and family will say on a regular basis "JENNA! You need to take a break!" but I'm really not good at it! I'm glad to be getting back to work and routine. I miss work, strange I know but I love my job. I guess what I'm really nervous about is getting my students prepared for me to leave. I want them to be secure in the routines before I let a sub come in a take over my classroom for 12 weeks. For someone who is unusually anal about things, it's hard to give up control. I know that especially over the holiday times I'll be itching to get back. Not that I'll want to leave my baby, but I think the ideal situation would be if I could go back to work and take baby with me....hmmm...I wonder if my school district would allow that???

Right now we are enjoying our last FULL day of vacation in Clearwater, FL. It's been a blast all week! We went to a Threshers game and got to watch Chase Utley play (he was rehabbing his hand down here). We've gotten homemade ice cream several times, played puttputt and gone out to eat at some great restaurants!! I'll be sad to leave, especially because the plane ride is very uncomfortable, but I miss my Cali-girl. Megan sends me pictures often and Kari (the mommy of Cali's BFF Diesel) does too, but it's not the same. I can't see her little behind wiggling or snuggle up with her on the couch! She will be SO glad that mommy will be home with her during those 12 weeks that I'm off for maternity leave. She's so unbelievable with children, I'm just excited to see how she reacts to the baby. I've heard many other friends who have boxers say that they are very protective of baby. One of my favorite boxers on You-Tube even started sleeping in the baby's room because it refused to allow it to be "un-watched" lol! I'm sure she'll be jealous of my attention though. Only time will tell (9 weeks to be exact) and I'm sure it will be interesting ;)

The REAL baby!

Ok! So, I didn't know it, but during the last post, I REALLY was pregnant. I found out a week later hehe. Cali is baby #1, but baby #2 will be here in October. I'm working on 13 weeks now and I've got a bit of a belly! Cali hasn't figured it out yet (not that she would), but she loves my Palmer's Cocoa Butter! We've only had a few appointments so far. We got to hear the heart beat at 9 weeks. Our next appointment is on the 22nd and hopefully we'll confirm that there's only 1 baby (cross your fingers please!) and we'll get to see it for the first time. I'm really looking forward to the first ultra sound. At this point, I'm just really tired and hungry. The first trimester (Weeks 1-12) were awful. I was extremely nauseous, I threw up randomly throughout the day, and was so dizzy they put me on a daily regiment of Bonine (car sickness pills). I felt great this past week (other than being tired). I'm hoping that I'm getting out of the sick-stage and getting into the enjoyment-stage. It's so fun to read about how it's growing and what's developing. Maternity clothes and baby clothes are fun too! I'm not exactly excited about being a beached whale this summer though!!! I guess you take the good with the bad though. From what I've heard, if you're sick in the beginning it's a sign of a good, strong pregnancy. YAY!

Cali the First Baby

No, I'm not pregnant, and no I didn't have a REAL baby; BUT, many (including Matt) would say that I already have a baby. Her name is Cali and she's a beautiful little girl. She's dark brindle, with white socks. She has black on her face, a little white streak up her nose, and the cutest little pink lips I've ever seen! Totally kissable :) Her little pink belly is irresistible and her favorite thing to do is snuggle. She loves to run, jump, play and wrestle. Daddy likes to play rough, but when the days is done, Daddy likes to snuggle with the baby too. She doesn't leave momma alone--in fact I can't get any work done unless she's in the kennel! She follows me everywhere and wants to be right beside me at all times. Her bestest-buddy Deisel (a 2 year old male boxer) loves to visit with Cali and play in the field. They're hysterical together and we have playdates at least once a week. She's the "bully" at PetSmart's Puppy Day-Care because she likes to play rough. She's a spoiled rotten, 9-month old boxer. Despite her evil streaks, our life wouldn't be the same without her. I can't wait to add a REAL baby to Cali's little world. I know she'll be the best big sister and a great protector for our REAL little ones :)
